Paul Scarsella began his career as an assistant Franklin County Prosecutor in 1997 and was soon assigned to the first gang prosecution unit developed in the State of Ohio. After working as an assistant prosecutor in Franklin and Delaware counties, Paul moved on to the Attorney General’s Office where he started the Special Prosecutions Unit in 2007. During his 10 years with that unit, Paul prosecuted some of the most high profile murder cases in the State. Paul led the prosecution teams in the Ohio Craigslist Killing cases (State v Richard Beasley, State v Brogan Rafferty) the Inman family murder (State v William Inman Sr, State v. William Inman Jr) and other cold case homicides dating all the way back to the 1970’s. Paul left government service in 2018 and brought those 20 years of prosecution experience to the defense of those now charged with similar crimes. That experience as a prosecutor allows Paul to fully evaluate and best determine the investigative needs of a case. His experience has allowed him to develop relationships with investigators and experts necessary to assist in the defense of his clients.
